After 3 years of development Digital Video Player version 5 is on the market. Everyday use of the program in real TV show its strange sides and now the software is recognized like a perfect solution for small and medium TV organization because of its reliability and total cost of ownership. Especially for TV channels which do not have 24 hours human operator we have some unique futures like options to program playlists for a week or even a month ahead and this schedule will execute without any need of human operators at all, the playlists have options to put commands which load/hide logo, start/stop title, commands to videomatrix, videoplayer can be set after restart server to load last loaded playlist and to start it automaticly from the correct time (in case of any software or hardware problem that demand server restart). We have special functions which allow a playlist to be created on a local computer, than with an export procedure to create a directory which consists of a playlist and ONLY new files, next this directory can be send via FTP to a remote server and imported in videoplayer. Another option is email manager which can be set to send you a email in case of a problem with videplayer
Title can be included without the need of ANY addition hardware cost as mix of title over signal is done from the hardware of video player.
Common scenario is that you need 2 computers, one middle class computer with CPU like Core 2 DUO 2.6 Mhz FSB133 2 Gb RAM,SATA HDD 2 TB (not need RAID) and specialized hardware like Matrox (200-300 USD) or DeskLink (600-800 USD) card and a second computer which like a ordinary office computer on which you will create playlist and design titles. In general total price for all solution is somewhere arond 3500 USD in which are included hardware about 1600 USD (2 computers + 1 MATROX P650 VGA card, you buy all hardware from you own country) and about 1900 USD for DVPlay software (exactly priced for DVPlayer + title + shipping is 1440 EUR, so price in USD depend of exchange rate USD/EUR).
For test purposes you do not need to have specialized hardware (Matrox or Desk Link card). All function will be the same, difference is that result will be seen on the Preview module of DVPlay software, not in real TV. All you need to test solution is middle class computer and fresh installation of Windows, so if you are a new user and want to do so some test you are welcome, ask and probably will get support.
