Vista/Windows 7 Pro
For a successful installation of DVPlay software under Vista you will need:
1. You must use 32-bit version of Vista/Win7 installation. The software has been tested with Vista HOME Basic, Business and Ultimate. You can use playlist editor with any Vista version.
2. For Windows 7 we have made test with Windows 7 Pro. However you may do test and with other editions.
3. You must install the original driver from your video card's producer. We detect that the embedded drivers in Microsoft Vista do not work properly with our software, which leads to a crash of the DVPlay soft engine.
4. You should set UAC off. For Vista look as shown on picture, BEFORE installation of DVPlay software. You need to start Control Panel - Administrative tools and Local Security Policy. Under Vista Ultimate we change only the option, as shown in picture, but in the other Vista edition, the default option can be different. As you can see from the picture bellow, all list with UAC and we find that our software's working.
For Windows 7 you may use build - in slider for disable UAC.
* We cannot explain why, but this option has an enormous effect over the work of DVPlay software. For example if you don't set the option, as shown in the picture, you will face with very strange behavior of Vista, when playing.
